Random Fangirl Moment #4

Posted in Movies, New Moon, Random Fangirl Moments on March 30, 2009 by Lydia

2rz86syOkay so I wake up this morning to discover that Jamie whats-his-face from Sweeney Todd (you know Anthony in the Johnny Depp version?) is going to be my beloved Casius in New Moon. Yes I do have a fave of the Volturi besides Aro and his name is Casius. Now I’m beginning to become upset with whoever the casting director on this film is because though I kinda liked him as Anthony in Sweeney I can NOT come to terms with the fact that he is the malicous Casius. It’s just not him and I do NOT see him as him. At least this is not as upsetting as the Girl Who Must Not Be Named, but it’s getting up there. I will have a hissy fit though if the final decision to cast Ben Barnes as Aro goes through. I will and you will all know it too. These people are too young to be these loverly characters and I just have soooo many issues with the additional casting of the vamps it’s ridiculous! Now I do like the replacements of the Wolf Pack. It’s not gonna be the same without Soloman as Sam, but they do have good alternates.

So if you happen to be at the same midnight release as me and see me crying at any other part than the ones you know you have to cry at you will know why.

So The Leaky Cauldron has just posted links to the new character posters for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie, and guess who has their own poster this movie promo round?

^^

Made me happy…plus he’s the only decent looking one out of all of them.

In random Rob news, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have assigned him two bodyguards named Brendon and Brandon. I have yet to find a pic of the loverly Mounties that are protecting Rob from crazy fangirls, but when I do you’d be sure that I’ll post it!

3/25: I’m Back!! (from outer space *sings the rest of I Will Survive*)

Posted in Catch-Up Posts, Movies, New Moon, Robert Pattinson, YouTube on March 25, 2009 by Lydia

Hello Lovely, Patient People of the Interwebs!

I’m sorry that it has taken me forever to post on here. I have just been overwhelmed by things in real life and I have succumbed to the Twitter virus that has been circulating. My case has just gotten worse. Then I was on vacation for Spring Break so that is why I come to you a month later to play catch up. So this post is coming at you in multiple parts and some may have links and others may not so be on the look out!

Okay Part One:

So I saw Watchmen twice the day it came out and thought it was amazing! I have yet to write a review for it, but I maybe not concidering it’s been out for awhile and I think everyone has formed their opinion about it already. But for those who haven’t seen it yet and are fans of the graphic novel or underdog superheroes that aren’t like the ones you grew up with, unless you grew up with this one like me, then go see it. Only the end and the duration of some scenes will kinda disappoint, but I think it’s such a good adaptation that it really doesn’t matter.

Part Two:

TWILIGHT NEWS!!! Okay so little Dakota Fanning is offically part of the cast and they welcomed her with open arms. *gags* I’m not thrilled with it what so ever, but hey maybe she won’t screw it up. If she does you know who will be the first to complain and say I told you so. *points at self*

The wolf pack is finally assembled and I’m kinda happy about that. Not a fan of the wolves and Solomon not being there, but I’m glad that they got them all figured out and stuff. You can view the whole cast list at http://twilighttildawn.blogspot.com. Oh and that link I just gave you is an awesome site to check up on everything Rob and Twilight. You can follow its webmistress at http://twitter.com/twilighttildawn. She’s real fun to talk to and she updates as much as she can.

And the best piece of Twilight news is that the DVD came out last Saturday!!! I wasn’t fortunate to get mine at midnight for I was out of town, but I got it on Sunday and it’s really amazing. The bonus features on it are really something. They truely don’t disappoint, but make me even more sad that Catherine isn’t the director anymore. I only have the regular two disc one and I’m going to Target to get the three disc one this weekend for more features.

Part Three:

ROBERT NEWS!!! So there really isn’t that much going on in the Rob universe, but there are New Moon set rumors that his personal hygenie isn’t up to par. Well I have to say the man has openly admitted that he doesn’t take showers. What were they expecting?! This rumor only comes after his close brush with a knock to the head that almost serious. According to SplashNews, a wire during a scene snapped and let loose a heavy metal sign and hit Rob upside the head. He’s okay according to the doctors. Let’s just hope that we don’t have another Natasha Richardson. Which brings me to…

EDIT: Rob is also on the cover of GQ this month, so go buy it!!!

Part Four:

Last week we lost Natasha Richardson to blood pooling in her head from a bump on the head while skiing the bunny slopes on a family vacation. They took her off life support. She will be greatly missed.

Part Five:

I haven’t been vlogging that much anymore due to the fact that the computer where I uploaded the videos doesn’t like me anymore and this computer that I am now working on doesn’t like to read the files so the vlogging has been postponed for the time being. That and I’m saving up for a proper camera instead of using my cell phone.

And Part Six:

The Where The Wild Things Are trailer came out today and it looks like it’s going to be soooooooo awesome!!! http://bit.ly/AoMRr It shows real potential of being a faithful adaptation, minus a few things, to the Maurice Sendack book that we all grew up with and loved. That comes out in October.

So I think my game of catch up this time has come to an end. I don’t think that I will leave you guys hanging so long next time.

Remember I’m on Twitter, http://twitter.com/misamille so look on there for more random fun from me and updates on all things in the random fandoms!

Love,
~Lydia! ^^

P.S: Oh I almost forgot! Go see I Love You, Man with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel!! I have yet to see it but I’m going to see it this weekend so expect a review of that soon!!

So I’m looking at my Twitter feed and I am following Just Jared. It’s a site that posts either paparattzi pics, publicity pics, or red carpet pics on their website. One of their updates happened to be this pic:

Apparently my four fave comedians were making fun of a Vanity Fair picture that had Keira Knightly in it. I have not yet seen this pic, but this pic is totally it’s own!

Oh btw: I Love You, Man starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel comes out on March 22 be sure to see it!

P.S. If you haven’t noticed yet I have restarted my random moment count on here. 🙂

The REVIEW: Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience

Posted in Movies, The REVIEW with tags , , on March 2, 2009 by Lydia

So as you all know I went and saw the Jonas Brothers’ new movie entitled Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience last Friday. My friends, Chelsey and Stacey, and I all dressed up in our finest boy band attire and attended the second to last showing, only because all the little age appropriate girls bought all the tickets to the earliest showings (grr).

So the movie was so amazing if you are a fan of the guys. It was really like you were at one of their concerts. The audience that had to put up with me and my friends were very into the movie as well. For the record there was only one little boy and his dad, five girls in their late teen years (my friends included), and the rest of the theatre was full of little girls and their moms. The moms didn’t like me and my friends that much.

The movie took you kinda behind the scenes of what it’s like for them to be on the road and what not, but basically it was mainly look at all the girls who are crazy over us and hey! there are these guys who go around acting like us. In my opinion, if you want to know what it’s like for them on the road, I would reccomend you seeing their short series on the Disney Channel ‘Living the Dream’ because that went into more detail on that aspect of the their lives than the movie gave you.

Now the concert itself (minus the Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato numbers) was great! They did all their trademark moves and some cool stage effects designed no doubt for the 3D aspect of the movie.

In the end it was a great movie despite what critcs and the box office numbers say. They will always be number one in my heart.

Next week: Watchmen
